Approval)
1. If a proposed use is not allowed by right under the
existing zoning on a property, a request for an
amendment to the Official Zoning Map (often called
a “rezoning”) or approval of a Special Use must be
approved prior to development, construction, or
occupancy.
2. See Article 2 of this Development Code for a list of
all uses allowed by right or by Special Use approval
in each zoning district.
3. A zoning change for approval of a subdivision,
multi-family, or non-residential project must
include a subdivision sketch plan, preliminary site
development plan, or PUD master concept plan, as
applicable, showing the proposed layout of the
project.
