Administrative Appeal

**Governing jurisdiction: Duluth.** A "Duluth, GA" mailing address is usually NOT in the City of Duluth. Unincorporated Gwinnett is 67.3% of the county's land area and is governed by a different code, a different board and a different permit portal. Resolve the governing jurisdiction before answering any zoning question.

## Text

Appeals of the interpretation by Director of the Department of the Planning and Development Department shall
first be submitted in writing (on a form provided by the Planning and Development Department) to either director
who shall review the request in a timely manner and receive comments from other affected departments. Such
appeal shall be made within 15 days after the decision is to be appealed. The appeal thereupon shall be forwarded
to the Zoning Board of Appeals for action in their normal course of business.
