Enforcement, Violation and Penalties

**Governing jurisdiction: Duluth.** A "Duluth, GA" mailing address is usually NOT in the City of Duluth. Unincorporated Gwinnett is 67.3% of the county's land area and is governed by a different code, a different board and a different permit portal. Resolve the governing jurisdiction before answering any zoning question.

720.01. Enforcement
It shall be the responsibility of the Planning and Development Department to enforce this Article. The
Planning and Development Director or his/her designee shall have the authority to revoke, suspend, or void
any Clearing, Clearing and Grubbing, Grading, Development or Building Permit or to withhold issuance of a
Certificate of Occupancy, and shall have the authority to suspend all work on a site or any portion thereof,
where tree removal or damage occurs in violation of this Article or the provisions of the approved Tree
Preservation/Replacement Plan for the site.
