Temporary Window Coverings

**Governing jurisdiction: Duluth.** A "Duluth, GA" mailing address is usually NOT in the City of Duluth. Unincorporated Gwinnett is 67.3% of the county's land area and is governed by a different code, a different board and a different permit portal. Resolve the governing jurisdiction before answering any zoning question.

a. Except as authorized by Section 604 window coverings of any type shall not be allowed. Notwithstanding

the foregoing, window coverings used for the purpose of shielding interior construction activity on the
ground level of commercial or multi-family buildings shall be allowed for the extent of said interior
construction activity but shall be removed no later than 15 days after the issuance of a Certificate of
Occupancy or 60 days after discontinuance of construction activity.
