Suspended Signs

**Governing jurisdiction: Duluth.** A "Duluth, GA" mailing address is usually NOT in the City of Duluth. Unincorporated Gwinnett is 67.3% of the county's land area and is governed by a different code, a different board and a different permit portal. Resolve the governing jurisdiction before answering any zoning question.

## Text

a. Suspended signs must have a minimum clearance of 8 feet to grade.
b. If any sign is located within, suspended over or projects above a public right-of-way, the sign owner shall

obtain and maintain in force liability insurance for such a sign in such form and such amount as the
Planning and Development Director may reasonably from time to time determine, provided that the
amount of such liability insurance shall be at least $500,000.00 per occurrence per sign.
