Plan Submission

**Governing jurisdiction: Duluth.** A "Duluth, GA" mailing address is usually NOT in the City of Duluth. Unincorporated Gwinnett is 67.3% of the county's land area and is governed by a different code, a different board and a different permit portal. Resolve the governing jurisdiction before answering any zoning question.

a. Lighting plans shall be submitted to the Planning and Development Department for review and approval

and shall include:

1. Layout of the proposed fixture locations.
2. Iso-footcandle plots of individual installations and 10x10 illuminance grid plots for multi-fixture
installations, that demonstrate compliance with the intensities and uniformity set forth in this
Code Section.
3. Description of the equipment, including fixture catalog cuts, photometrics, glare reduction
devices and mounting methods proposed.
4. When requested by the Planning and Development Department, applicant shall submit a visual
impact plan that demonstrates appropriate steps have been taken to mitigate on-site and off-site
glare.
5. Post-approval alterations to lighting plans or intended substitutions for approved lighting
equipment shall be submitted to the Planning and Development Department for review and
approval.
6. This Code Section does not supersede established development regulations in any way.
