M-2 Heavy Industrial District

**Governing jurisdiction: Duluth.** A "Duluth, GA" mailing address is usually NOT in the City of Duluth. Unincorporated Gwinnett is 67.3% of the county's land area and is governed by a different code, a different board and a different permit portal. Resolve the governing jurisdiction before answering any zoning question.

## Text

The M-2 District is established to provide for manufacturing, assembling, storage and distribution activities that are
generally high intensity, but whose operations and processes are not public nuisances and are not dangerous to
health, safety, or the general welfare. The M-2 District shall be located on or have ready access to a major
thoroughfare or state highway.
