Officers

**Governing jurisdiction: Duluth.** A "Duluth, GA" mailing address is usually NOT in the City of Duluth. Unincorporated Gwinnett is 67.3% of the county's land area and is governed by a different code, a different board and a different permit portal. Resolve the governing jurisdiction before answering any zoning question.

## Text

The Chairman of the Planning Commission is selected from one of the existing five members and appointed by the
Mayor. The Planning Commission shall elect one of its members as Vice-Chairman, and a second as Secretary. The
City Council may delegate the administrative and record keeping duties of the Planning Commission to an
employee of the City of Duluth. Officers shall serve one year in those capacities or until re-elected or until
successors are elected.
