Application Intake and Processing

**Governing jurisdiction: Duluth.** A "Duluth, GA" mailing address is usually NOT in the City of Duluth. Unincorporated Gwinnett is 67.3% of the county's land area and is governed by a different code, a different board and a different permit portal. Resolve the governing jurisdiction before answering any zoning question.

1. If the application is for a project that qualifies as a
Development of Regional Impact (DRI) and is the
first request for City action or is a revision to a
previous DRI, refer to Section 1123 of this Article for
details and procedures.
2. If the application is for approval of an exemption
plat for a minor subdivision, refer to 1101.03(2).
3. If the application is for any other type of approval
or permit, refer to the appropriate Divisions and
Sections of this Article or the Appeals Article for
procedures pertinent to the request.
