Continuation of Illegal Nonconformity Prohibited

**Governing jurisdiction: Duluth.** A "Duluth, GA" mailing address is usually NOT in the City of Duluth. Unincorporated Gwinnett is 67.3% of the county's land area and is governed by a different code, a different board and a different permit portal. Resolve the governing jurisdiction before answering any zoning question.

Any use, structure, lot, or sign that did not conform to the applicable codes or ordinances of the City of Duluth at
the time of its creation, construction, or placement, or as a result of subsequent enlargement or expansion, shall
not be considered a lawful nonconforming use, structure, lot, or sign and is prohibited.
